Matt Tarka's rock-inflected folk music continues the traditions of artists such as Tom Petty, Wilco and Carole King.
Tarka's two recent EPs Surely Late and Vision Hazy were recorded with producers Ted Comerford at Low Watt Recording in Savannah, GA, and Mitch Easter (R.E.M., Suzanne Vega) at the Fidelitorium in Kernersville, NC. His music has been featured by media outlets including Paste Magazine, No Depression, Relix, NPR's "Morning Edition," and Country Fried Rock, and on compilation albums benefiting hurricane relief and autism. Matt is currently writing new music for release in 2020. See more at www.matttarkamusic.com
